A Moment to Celebrate

I sit here on the heels of a whirlwind week that includes two speaking engagements, four coaching sessions, consulting work for several commercial clients, a bunch of Northern Vessel happenings, and seemingly endless kid activities. Admittedly, I often fail to stop and celebrate the wins. However, today, I'm taking a deep breath and sitting in the moment for a bit.

It's so easy to just keep going, failing to mark the moments. I'm as guilty of this as anyone. Even when I encourage other people to celebrate the wins, I'm busy not celebrating the wins. Therefore, I'm screeching to a halt today, intentionally forcing myself to recognize and celebrate the week that's been.

It feels weird. It always feels weird. Perhaps that's why I struggle to do it much of the time. There's something very raw about truly reflecting and celebrating the good things that have happened. My default mode is to keep on trucking, aggressively pursuing the next wins that I'll inevitably not celebrate, either.

Not today, though. Today, we celebrate. I encourage you to do the same!
